Home

It is with great sadness for our loss, yet great hope in his Eternal Home that we announce our dad, Bob Bugg, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013.

In the coming days and weeks there will be more time for (and great healing in) writing a more formal epilogue of his last few days with us.  For now, though, we thought it would be good to update the blog.

Although he has had several health setbacks since November of 2012, my dad's health went downhill very quickly this past week.

He spent his final days in a wonderful hospice facility.  Those days were peaceful, relatively comfortable days.  His room was filled with family and friends.  Conversations abounded with memorable stories and heartfelt thank-you's to a man we were all better for knowing.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at 10am Saturday, August 17th at Starkey Road Baptist Church.

Thank you all for loving us well through this journey.

Jenny (on behalf of Patra, Emily, Adam, our spouses, and the grandkids)

Know that all our lives have been enriched by knowing Bob Bugg! My Bob and I encountered Bob & Patra in Countryside Mall several years ago when we were in Clearwater and it wasn't long after that the word of his illness came. We began then to pray for his healing and God to receive the Glory in the journey. So--Bob has been healed of his awful disease and our God has received the Glory in these years and will in the months and years to come as so many people encounter you the family members and share of your faith and trust in this journey! We pray now for rest and recovery for you all in the days to come! Our love to each of you-- Janice & Bob Adams

I had a lot to comtemplate on the way home after Bobs service this am. I thought over all that was said and shared about this wonderful man that loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. We are all so blessed for having Bob in our lives; whether it was for years or for a few days; I am sure he touched many without you ever knowing it. The testimony that your whole family shares challenges us to make our lives and families better. We are so proud to be part of the "family of God" thank you for sharing your intimate family moments with us and know that Bob will always be in our hearts. Take care all!
