"Day by Day"

Update from Emily:

I was hoping that Dad would feel well enough to post his own blog today. The effects of chemo, however, continue to keep Dad weak - giving him very little strength to read or write. We are excited that his numbers continue to go up (today's WBC count: 0.37), but we also continue to pray that they would multiply at a greater rate.

This morning, I read 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

My prayer for Dad today is that though he feels like he is wasting away outwardly due to chemotherapy, that God would do a work in his heart and body in these upcoming days - and he would truly feel renewed day by day.

Emily,
We too will pray for that renewal for Bob. We continue to pray that those cells will mulitply much more rapidly and that the nausea will dissipate.
Thanks for sharing the scripture with us. Thanks for the update.
Love you all,

Thanks for sharing the Bible verse with us, too. It reminds me of Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." NIV

We'll keep praying for continual progress in those WBC to multiply at a greater rate.
As your dear Dad would so often say in Sunday School, "God is good all the time".
Praise Him from whom all blessings flow~~~
In Christ's love & prayers,

Thanks Emily again for the update. We are still praying for the numbers to rapidly improve as well as the nausea subside. God is good and His time is something we sometimes don't understand. We are still uplifted by your Dad's spirit and testimony during this ordeal.
Take care all.

o.k. Uncle Bob... Here is your challenge from me... I want you to get your WBC over the age of your eldest niece, got it??? And while you're at it, you could go for the age of your very old brother. Aim high, I say! We love you and are praying for you to get high (in a legal way!).
