"Dad's New Look"

Update from Emily:

Yesterday, I was able to spend some time with Mom and Dad at the hospital for Mom's Birthday! I was excited to walk into the room and see Dad's bed empty and Dad sitting up in his chair. (He asked if I wanted to take a picture to share his "bald look" with you.)

Yes, he looks thinner, but if you squint your eyes and picture him with hair, it is still the same Bob Bugg! Today brought more encouraging news. Dad walked the floor of his hospital room twice and new medications were able to get the nausea under control. Great news!

Thank you so much for your specific prayers.

I just wanted to also say thank you to so many of you for your comments. I know that many of you email my mom privately and for that we thank you as well. For us as children, it is nice to see the comments on the blog and know how many of you are praying for our family. We feel as if we are getting to know many of you through this blog, and for that, we thank you.

Emily: Thanks again for the post. I hope your Mom had a good birthday and that she got lots of encouraging words. Thanks for the picture of your father as well. Those are the eyes of hope. Hopefully now that the nausea has subsided, he will be able to eat whatever he wants; & let him!! We are praying the fluid retention is flushed away soon and that all things will return to normal. (Sorry, I am not as creative as your father) with words, but we can't stress enough to thank you for allowing us to go on this journey with your family.
God bless, take care & have a good evening!

Ahhhh, thanks, Emily for sharing the picture!!! And, also, thanks to you & Jenny for all the updates. It helps us to know how to pray specifically. So glad to hear that your dad was able to walk around his room. I know that is "huge". And, Happy Birthday to you, Patra!!!
Love Anita

Thanks to both of you Emily and Jenny for the updates on your Dad. We check several times a day to see how things are going "over there". We are praising God for the good news that his nausea is better controled! We look forward to that word that he has been discharged again! Happy birthday Patra!! Keep getting better Bob!!

Well, thanks again for the updates!!
Patra, you got your birthday wish today. You had said you would like to have as your gift--your Bob walking across his room. Well, Bob you delivered that gift.
We are so happy for that occurance.
Thanks, Bob, for the bald photo. Now, you and Lex really have something in common. However, yours will grow back; poor Lex doesn't have those expectations.
Love you guys, and we continue to be part of that human bridge to the other side.

Wasnt' it Ben Kingsley who had a look similar to Bob's and he made big bucks in the movies!!! Anybody know a talent agent we can send to meet Bob? Maybe he could be cast as an attorney in some movie!!! Bills paid AND up for an Oscar in the future!?!?!?!?

Bob, you look good, even without hair. I remember when I had the deep brain stimulation surgery and had only half a head of hair and a lot of bright staples. That looked strange!.
It's great that you are able to sit up and walk a little. That is a step in the right direction. Praise the Lord!
We're praying for you and Patra.
Love, Tom and Margie

Hooray for Bob! Sooo happy that the nausea is better and how great to walk some - that will help increase appetite and strengthen muscles. He is on the way back to health!! Will keep praying...

your family is in our prayers daily...and we know that we can turn all our cares over to God for his grace in knowing and answering our needs...
